Dear Lane Alumni,
Lane Technical High School is celebrating its 100th year anniversary in September 2008.  In our near 100 year history Lane has remained a school of both academic and athletic excellence.  This letter invites you, as a member of the Lane Tech family, to support the Lane Tech Century Foundation.  The Foundation was established in March 2004 by Lane Alumni to raise money to restore Lane Tech’s building and grounds.  Although Lane Tech’s administration has done a great job of maintaining Lane’s building and grounds, the Board does not provide sufficient resources to improve the quality of the buildings and grounds.  We believe that Lane Tech alumni can provide those resources.  Our goal is to collect $2,000,000 before September 2008. 

The money will be used to (i) restore the auditorium to its original grandeur, (ii) renovate and make operational the memorial garden, and (iii) refurbish the student lunchroom to make it a multipurpose room that can be used for assemblies, physical fitness activity, student dances, and continued use as a student lunchroom.  We have already received contributions, including a generous grant from the Lane Tech Alumni Association.  We remodeled and restored one of the auditorium’s ticket offices. 

We need your help to achieve all of our goals.  You now have the opportunity to give back to the place that gave you so much.  Please complete and return the attached form with your pledge.  You can also help us contact other members of the Lane Tech family.   

The Lane website www.lanetech.org will have the most current information about Foundation activities.  You may also contact one of the members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors if you have questions.
